5 steps to a perfect spring reset
Happy Sring Equinox Wellness Seekers!
We've been getting some questions about springtime wellness so we decided to put together a list of things to make your transition to spring easier.
The first thing you should do is make sure you are up to date on all your doctor’s appointments. During the winter months, it can be easy to let things slide. It's important to remember that the winter months are really hard on our health and we can't afford to miss any checkups. Spring is the perfect time to get back into grounding activities like yoga and walking.
There are many things to enjoy about the springtime season, such as the warmer weather and blooming flowers. It's also a great time to focus on your health and wellness routine. Here are some tips to help you get started:
1) Get moving outdoors.
The weather is warming up and many people are eager to get outdoors. Outdoor exercise can have many benefits for your mind and body. Research shows that those who exercise outdoors are more likely to stick with their fitness goals, enjoy their exercise more, experience the health benefits of sunshine, and lower their stress levels. Exercise is also considered a great way to relieve stress and anxiety. Enjoy the fresh air and sunshine by going for a walk or jog in your neighborhood or local park.
2) Add seasonal produce to your diet.
This includes kale, strawberries, cauliflower, arugula, lettuce, rhubarb and artichokes. These are fresh ingredients full of vitamins and minerals that naturally detoxify the body. You can even mix them into homemade smoothies or juices.
3) Eat only when you’re hungry.
Mindful eating is one of the best techniques for effortlessly maintaining good nutrition. When you concentrate on every bite of your food, you will be more aware of how much it fills your stomach and how quickly it is digested. This will help avoid overeating and losing control over your physical health. Think about what you’re eating before you start eating it. Which foods are good for you? Which ones aren’t? Add more foods that help you vibrate higher.
4) Drink plenty of water.
Staying hydrated is essential for good health, especially during warmer months. Make sure you drink plenty of water every day and avoid sugary drinks whenever possible. Dehydration can cause headaches, bloating, trouble sleeping, and digestion problems. Drink at least eight glasses of water a day to stay hydrated.
5) Practice self-care.
Take some time for yourself each day to relax and rejuvenate. Fortunately, self-care is more than just a buzzword; it’s a way to focus on your mental health and happiness.
