All in Self-care

That girl's guide to a social media detox

In today's hyper-connected world, it's easy to get lost in the scroll—constantly checking social media for updates, trends, or that next like. But the truth is, taking a step back from social media can be one of the most refreshing and empowering things you can do for yourself. It's a chance to reset, refocus, and become that girl—the one who's fully aligned with her personal growth, wellness, and self-care.

Here’s how to make the most of a social media detox and come back even better:

How to create the Ultimate Soft Girl Bedroom Space

If you are a fan of pastel colors, oversized sweaters, mom jeans, and an overall ultra-feminine style, you have likely already heard of the soft life or soft girl aesthetic.

This trendy style of decorating your bedroom space has been making the rounds on social media as of late, specifically on the social media platform TikTok.

But if you’re at a loss for what I’m talking about, this article will be your guide in knowing all about and creating the perfect, oh-so-dreamy soft girl bedroom aesthetic.

How not to let people disrupt your peace

There is a joke I like to say, "You only live once, unless you're a frog they croak daily." So what does that mean you ask? That means it's your life, no one else can live it for you, so why not live it as full as you can. Some people will have opinions on how you live, so let's talk about how to not let people get to you.

One thing I want you to know is that your path is going to be different from everyone's. Since you were born, you have been on a mission. There are going to be things that will happen but it's all a part of your journey. Yes there will be people that will go through similar things but this is your path.

My Spiritual Journey through Locs part 1

December of last year I made the decision to loc up my hair. I just felt I needed a change and I've always appreciated the beauty of locs but of course, I let fear take over. What if I get bored? What if I look ugly? It’s the same fear that prevented me from going natural but I took the plunge and unlocked something so beautiful within myself.

I started my journey with two-strand twists on January 8th, 2020. It was the easiest style for me. Yes, I did them myself, after doing some much-needed research on Youtube. Everyone told me that I should see a pro to start my locs. But something about this journey felt personal, spiritual even. I will be the first to tell you that I’m not good with hair. But I did them. They are not perfect but they are me.

Moisturized skin with GorjusWhips Body Butters

I know, I know, it has been a while since putting up a post. I've been putting some more focus on my clients and my health coaching business. But one thing that hasn't change is me taking time for some self-care. Self-care doesn't have to be a full blast Spa day, complete with a hot stone massage, facial, deep tissue…..what was I talking about again lol. But yeah those of us on a budget have to transform our homes into a spa. I loooove skin care products, especially all natural gems. Taking time to take care of your skin is definitely a form of self-care. My girl form GorjusWhips sent me some two jars of whipped shea moisture body butter from her all natural collection and I'm absolutely in love.
